Anthony Rapp

Anthony Rapp has been acting and singing professionally since he was nine years old. He is best known for originating the role of Mark Cohen in Jonathan Larson’s Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical, RENT, for which he shared an OBIE Award with the rest of the cast. He reprised his role in the RENT film opposite other members of the original cast.

Throughout his celebrated career, Anthony has appeared memorably in film, television, and stage; with credits including the revival of You’re a Good Man, Charlie BrownIf/ ThenDazed and Confused, and Adventures in Babysitting; as well as his unforgettable role in Star Trek: Discovery as Lieutenant Commander Paul Stamets. This year, Off-Broadway reveled when Anthony brought his show Without You to New World Stages. This riveting tale of “love, loss, and the musical RENT” earned both award nominations and acclaim, with critics such as The New York Times raving, “You would have to be made of stone to NOT be moved.”

Now, for a very special one night engagement; Anthony Rapp comes to The Catalina Club to share selections of his favorite repertoire throughout his career as well as music that personally left an enduring mark. Supported by keyboardist / music director Daniel A Weiss and guitarist Lee Moretti, expect a night of Broadway favorites, shared stories, and the songs that created a legacy.
